At Heritage Psychology, we offer comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological evaluations for ages 6 and up. We specialize in providing neuroaffirming assessments for autism and ADHD for adults. We also evaluate for psychological and personality disorders, as well as learning disabilities.
Meet Dr. Brenda Franz
Hello, my name is Dr. Brenda Franz, owner of Heritage Psychology. My goal is to provide thorough comprehensive evaluations for every client. I want you to feel heard and understood through this process. A correct diagnosis and understanding your strengths and vulnerabilities or differences is imperative to receiving the right therapeutic treatment, interventions, and accommodations.

Autism
We specialize in diagnosing neurodivergence in the adult population. We also have extensive experience with ages 6 and up. This process is done through a neuroaffirming lens and with a heavy emphasis on strengths and differences. Dr. Franz continually seeks out training within the neuroaffirming community and does her best to stay updated on best practices for autistics.

Re-evaluations
We offer Tricare families re-evaluation services to help get services reinstated. These evaluations are typically covered by Tricare.

ADHD and autism have many overlapping symptoms, often making it difficult to differentiate the two. They are also commonly comorbid diagnoses. We specialize in differentiating between the two and providing suggestions for effective interventions and accommodations.

Mood/Clinical
Many diagnoses (i.e., depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, panic disorder) have overlapping and similar symptoms; therefore, it is important to differentiate between these disorders. A cognitive and psychological assessment can help determine the correct diagnosis.

Psychoeducational Evaluations
We offer comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations. This typically involves cognitive and academic achievement testing which can help determine a learning disability such as dyslexia and dysgraphia.

PEERS Social Skills
Dr. Franz is certified in the UCLA PEERS program for adolescents. She utilizes aspects of this program, combined with other approaches that can help with communication and social skills, through a neuroaffirming lens.
